I love Pocky and after bf and I discovered a Japanese market in the Convoy area that we've never been to today, I loaded up on a lot of Pocky and promptly had a photo shoot.
Here is my family of 13 different Pocky's!
And here's one with the bastard child, Lucky Stick, at the bottom.
Now I'm almost afraid to eat them...

Shalom Cardigan is finally finished! I remember trying this last year with Bernat Softee Chunky and I wasn't loving the yarn, so it got frogged. But I tried again using different mods and a wonderful yarn that I wish I had bought more of when I had the chance. I had a hard time capturing the true color of the yarn, but the last picture (from Little Knits) shows it perfectly.
// Warning...this post is highly picture-intensive.
Pattern: Shalom Cardigan by Involving the Senses
Yarn: Uruguay Chunky in Sage Green (#113)
Amount: ~ 7.5 balls
Needles: US 9 and 10.5
Mods: Used Ishi's mods. Lengthened to 22" before blocking. Came out to be 24" after blocking. Picked up 52 sts around sleeves using smaller needles and did 10 rows of garter stitch.
* Front and center (but a little overexposed due to sunlight)
* Buttons! If they look familiar, it's because they're the yellowish-green version of my red Juliet buttons. 1 1/8" and from www.buttondrawer.com .
* I love that green!

Introducing my first shawl!
It is my Mother's Day present to my Mom, and was finally photographed and mailed off today. A week late, but Mom said she didn't mind.
Since shawl pins seem to be so expensive for what they are, I found a butterfly hair pin at Claire's with a removable stick just like a real shawl pin! Best part, it was on clearance! :-)
Pattern: Textured Shawl by Orlane's recipe
Yarn: Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette in Quince (#15)
Size: 48" by 23"
Amount: 3 balls exactly (I only had 2 feet left over.)
Needles: US 7
Mods: I added in more textured and stockinette rows to basically maximize usage of all the yarn since I used smaller needles and thinner yarn than the pattern suggested.
* Front* Side
* Butterfly shawl pin
* I'm a triangle!
* Spread out
